Final Reward & Bonus Posted!

As we wind down to the final hours, our last reward has been posted, and it’s both awesome and unique; one person will be able to claim Writer/Director Bryn Pryor’s actual Shooting Script!

This script will have all of Bryn’s notes, diagrams, highlighting, folds, tears, smudges, blood, sweat, tears and food stains. In other words, it’s an artifact with character. It will also be signed by the entire CAST & CREW!

A New Countdown Reward Available to EVERYONE!

Here’s a great little add-on reward we’ve been keeping in our pocket to unveil in the last few days.

THREE EXCLUSIVE TRACKS FROM THE SOUNDTRACK

Add $10 to any reward, new or existing, and get a direct download of three custom music tracks done for us by composers Vitaly Zavadskyy and Walid Feghali.

These are temp tracks that were done for us to use in promotion. You can hear these fantastic tracks in our Kickstarter video; now you can own them!

These tracks will not be on the soundtrack CD.

Just add $10 to any existing donation, or make a new donation of at least $11, and we’ll do the rest. We get a time-stamped email telling us how much you pledged or added, and when. All of those emails will get sorted together so we know who to include in the Soundtrack Download Offering.

Like most films on Kickstarter, we will have a Special Thanks section in the credits. Unlike those other films, ours will reflect the people who really supported us most. As special recognition to those of you who got on board and backed us early before the mad rush of the last week, this is only being made available to existing backers as of NOW.

From now until our campaign closes at 4pm EST on March 9th, if you backed the film before this update posts and add $50 or more to your donation (or go to the next tier reward, assuming it’s a bump of at least $50), you will be credited in the Special Thanks at the end of the actual film to be screened at festivals all over the world.

This is your only chance to get your name in the credits!

It’s exciting times for Cowboys & Engines!

A lot of you know that yesterday, we crested $100k on Kickstarter. Many of you have been instrumental in that success, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the help with financing and promoting the film.

And even though we can all breathe a sigh of relief, and pat ourselves on the back for our work, this is no time to relax. We’ve got five days left, and the end of the campaign is when donations really ramp up.

We’re already over $105k, but we can do more! Every dollar we can raise at this point will make the film better. More extras, more elaborate costumes, more polished FX.

Keep reaching out. Keep sending the link, keep talking about the project. We’re on the path to making something really amazing!

Our third limited reward for those who have already backed the film is incredibly awesome:

These thick, lined, high-quality jackets have the Cowboys & Engines logo embroidered in full color on the back, and are being custom-ordered for the cast and crew of the film. You can sneak a peak at our “travel logo” here.

From now until Midnight (PST) on Monday, March 4th, if you backed the film before this update posts and add $275 or more to your donation (or go to the next tier reward, assuming it’s a bump of at least $275), you get one of these amazing jackets. Malcolm McDowell has joined the Cowboys & Engines cast!

We’ve been sitting on this info, waiting to announce it until the last Kickstarter push. We’re thrilled to confirm that we’ve secured Malcolm McDowell to play our villain, Dr. Clay.

Malcolm McDowell is a genuine legend. Alex from A Clockwork Orange, H.G. Wells fromTime After Time, Soran from Star Trek: Genesis, Mick from O Lucky Man and Caligula himself. We’re incredibly thrilled and honored to have him creating another iconic villain for our film!

Our New Limited Reward

Our second limited reward available only to those who have already backed the film went up this morning.

THIS WEEKEND ONLY – WE RECORD YOUR VOICEMAIL GREETING!

Imagine your friends calling and getting James Deen on your voicemail. Given what he’d probably say, it’s unlikely they’d ever call again, but still, how cool is that? Most of the C&Ecast and crew will be available, so you’ll get to pick your poison. (We haven’t asked Richard Hatch yet, but we’re betting he’ll play along)

Halfway There

Just before 11pm on Sunday,Meghan Wren, one of our own previz artists, kicked in $200 to put our Kickstarter project over $50k, and past the halfway mark. With 19 days to go, this puts us in a great position.

A huge chunk of your Kickstarter support comes at the very end of your campaign. Often projects will get 40% or more of their funding in the last few days of the campaign. The fact the we’re in the middle of the campaign, when your donations slow to a trickle, and still broke $50k this week, is exciting and amazing.

Starting Monday, we’re going to be offering some very exclusive rewards that are ONLY available to people who have already backed the project, so keep an eye peeled, and keep spreading the word. If you haven’t donated yet, now is definitely the time.

New Kickstarter Video, New EPs

We’ve been trying to schedule time to sit down with Walter Koenig, and VFX Supervisor Ryan Carter, for weeks so we could interview them about the project, and incorporate those interviews into our Kickstarter video.

In the last two weeks, it finally happened. Both Walter’s interview and Ryan’s are up and on the Kickstarter homepage.

We’ve also had a huge boost to our campaign in the last week. Both of our Executive Producer spots have been taken; one by Mike Cabana, who is a good friend of Meghan Wren, one of our pre-viz artists. The second by Melissa Kimbro, a close friend of Bryn Pryor.

We’ll have bios up for both of them in the coming weeks, but both Michael and Melissa have hit the groud running, asking all the right questions and focusing on doing everything they can to help us reach that magic $100k mark!
