A Few Shots From Cowboys & Engines

As we get ever-closer to finishing Cowboys & Engines, we thought it would be fun to share a few stills from the finished film. We’re almost there! As Richard Hatch always says, “Keeping the faith.”

A Few Shots

We’ve posted a few pix from the last day of filming. This is just a tiny sample of the hundreds of terrific shots taken by Ben Hoffman during the course of production.

Things You Can Do To Help Cowboys & Engines #1

A lot of people have been asking what they can do, more specifically, to help us with Kickstarter and Cowboys & Engines. A lot of people have already donated, inundated their friends, and feel like they’ve run out of options.

To paraphrase Spock, there are always options.

Over the next two weeks, as we make our big, final push, we’re going to be sending and posting suggestions of what you can do specifically to help us make our goal and more, if you’re just willing to invest five minutes of your time.

Here’s thing one: Help us get onto Ain’t it Cool News.

For some reason, even though we fit squarely in the crosshairs of their readership, AiCN has resolutely refused to acknowledge our existence. Well, we’re as mad as hell, and we’re not gonna take it anymore!

Seriously, though, it’s bizarre. With lead actors from Star Trek and BSG in the cast, you’d think it would be a slam-dunk. We’ve contacted them several times, and gotten no response, so now it’s your turn.

We’re asking each and every one of you to send a short email to harry@aintitcool.com. CC Herculesaicn@yahoo.com, quint@aintitcool.com & hk@aintitcool.com and ask them to please write about Cowboys & Engines.

Put it in your own words. Keep it short, and to the point. You don’t need to spend all day. Be sure to include the links below. We’ve been written up on dozens of geek websites. We need to get the grandaddy of ’em all to sit up and take notice!

Cowboys & Engines Kickstarter:

NerdBastard Love

James Deen has gotten us a lot of mainstream press lately, and we’re grateful for that, but it has mostly been as an adjunct to invitations to talk about how badly-behaved Lindsay Lohan is. While it’s true no press is bad press, it would be great for people to start talking about Cowboys & Engines first.

Well, we got our wish. This terrific interview from NerdBastards.com is all about C&E!

Nerve and the Boy Genius

Here’s the Nerve interview with our producer James Deen. They were nice enough to mention us and post the Kickstarter link right in the header.

James Deen Meets the Press

Our heartthrob producer (who hates it when we say that) James Deen was in Las Vegas all week doing a load of interviews about life, the infamous New York Times Magazine article about making The Canyons, and, of course, Cowboys & Engines. The story is circling the net, including CNN, The Huffington Post, ShalomLife, MajorSpoilers, etc.

Entertainment Weekly had a great piece, that you can read HERE.

Daily Beast ran an even better interview on Saturday, which is HERE.

When you’re done falling in love with James all over again, be sure to drop by Kickstarter an put a nickel in our piggybank. That’s all over these pages, but also, particularly, HERE.
